Course Description
According to the United Nations Office of Outer Space Activities, the number of objects launched into space is of about 2000 every year. The mission operations registered a record this year with over 186 successful rocket launches (41 more than in previous year).
The Space Industry is witnessing the biggest transformation with the creation of new Space Agencies and the largest amount of Space Missions, focusing on National Security (30%), Satellite Communications (24%), and Edge Computing and Earth Observation (10%).
Around the world, Space Agencies and Industries operate space objects from their Mission Control Centers, where Spacecraft and Ground Controllers, together with a team of analysts, officers, engineers and managers perform continuous satellite control and monitoring using ground segment software and equipment.
The Space Operations Course describes the end-to-end satellite and ground system engineering, the mission control center with mission planning, flight dynamics, as well as LEOP and rockets propulsion.
The Program covers both the Technical and Managerial aspects of a Space Mission. From effective knowledge of System Operations Engineer and Project Management, to the understanding of systems and sub-systems of Ground, satellites, and Space Segments.
The Space Operations Course offers students a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of mission operations. With this program, the student experience all the phases, from operations preparation, to LEOP and Satellites.
