The Space Economy’s Next Giant Leap
Space entrepreneurship and Space Economy as a worldwide phenomenon , involving both individuals, Industries and Space Agencies. Morgan Stanley’s estimates that the roughly $350 billion global space industry could surge to over $1 trillion by 2040. There are now more than 10,000 firms and around 5,000 investors involved in the space industry, and the venture capital funding for global space-tech companies has reached $6.2 Billion.
Space is the new economic frontier, included by the G20 as one of the 22 priorities of its agenda. A growing number of “New Space” companies, together with Space Agencies and entrepreneurs, are building a new business model. Space Sector has created hundreds of new startups in the past decade, enhancing the potential of space entrepreneurship.
Overview of the Master in Space Entrepreneurship
Our Master in Space Entrepreneurship is a 6-month program guided by two expert lecturers: one specializing in Space and the other in Business Development. The master is structured into three comprehensive modules to ensure a balanced and in-depth learning experience.
- Module 1 (6 weeks): Flexible, online classes, readings, and exercises focused on mastering the Space Economy. Key topics include Space Issues and Risk Management, the Upstream and Downstream sectors, and Space Economy Fundamentals.
- Module 2 (8 weeks): Live online workshops with both lecturers, where you’ll develop a business project in the space sector, either individually or in groups. Through this practical project, you’ll enhance your skills in business strategy, project management, space economy, and finance. Classes are held on Sundays for flexibility.
- Module 3 (12 weeks): A comprehensive tutor-led program that provides ongoing personalized support. Your tutor will guide you through Progress Monitoring, Milestone Assessments, Performance Evaluations, and a Final Review, focused on future directions and growth opportunities in the space sector.

- Apply this understanding to align technical innovations with economic realities and policy regulations
- Gain hands-on experience in using space technologies such as Earth observation, satellite communication, and space logistics to develop profitable business models.
- Learn how to apply problem-solving frameworks and business strategies to space-related ventures in our master in Space Entrepreneurship.
- Gain knowledge in finance, business development, and space policy, alongside your engineering skills, to enable a well-rounded approach to launching and managing space-related startups.

Lecturer
Adrian Saez is an economist at Santander Asset Management, with over 10 years of experience in the Industrial and Bank Sector. With a Master in Business and administration, a Degree in Economics, and an accounting certification, he is one of the Board members of the SEAC Business School.
