Course Description
The course is taught directly by a medical doctor with Harvard Education, that brings direct medical expertise into the classes.
Within the space commercializationa and exploration, the Space Medicine contributes to Human Spaceflight, astronaut life, space tourism, and long missions.
The Space Medicine Course is a program addressing the key elements and challenges of living in Space. What are the current and future human spaceflight missions, what do astronauts suffer from a psychological point of view and a physical point of view. At the end of the course, you receive a certificate of completion.
In the context of Space Commercialization, Space Medicine becomes a key aspect to be addressed, also considering the growing of Space Tourism opportunities all around the world.

Learning Objectives
The Space Medicine course provides you with the main elements related to the medical aspect of Human Spaceflight. The students will learn the main characteristics of the Space Environment and their effects on the Human Bodies.
The students learn the impacts on the human beings while living in Space, from a physical point of view, but also psychological. Living in Space is a continuous challenge, astronauts are selected on a basis of physical strengths as well as behavioural attitude. Extreme isolation conditions, as well as team playing and leadership skills, motivation and adaptation are an important aspects contributing to the psychological wellbeing of astronauts in Space.
Whether you want to be the next astronaut in Space for a Space Agency or Commercial Company, or you want to travel to space as a Space Tourist or you want to carry out research in the Space Station, the Space Medicine program provides you with the knowledge to contribute or take part to a crewed Space mission.
You will earn a Certificate of Completion at the end of this course.
